RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Led engagement with academic and policy institutions, implementing partners and government stakeholders to advance learning in sexual and reproductive health.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking gender indicators and monitoring evaluation
  • Identify potential which can be individuals, researchers, or NGOs at the grassroots level, with concerns on gender, social equity, and health intersection issues
  • Carry out routine data analysis and generated insights such as gender analysis, and supported resolution of implementation challenges, in so doing supported integration of adaptive learning across country programmes for maximum impact.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategic engagement strategies to increase awareness and improve stakeholders’ participation
  • Assist in developing gender and social equity methods
  • Conduct targeted training for agency staff on gender analysis and gender sensitive programming
  • Support development of gender indicators for institutional monitoring of gender goals
  • Design and undertake specific research tasks, as directed, to strengthen the organization’s understanding of gender dimensions of violent conflict, justice and peace-building in key areas of its operation
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills with widely diverse groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in fast-paced work environments, and deliver high quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaboration, reflection, and learning

Required expertise, skills and knowledge are as follows:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science, development studies, gender, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working on gender issues.
  • Demonstrated experience with gender integration in development programming.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English.
