RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the planning and execution of contextually grounded landscape analyses that assess strengths, weaknesses, and gaps within national level fortification policies, fortification legislation, national fortification standards, and regulatory monitoring framework
  • Support the conceptualization of recommendations based on the landscape analyses and lead the mapping of a way forward to improve the policy enabling environment within each country.
  • Ensure recommendations are inclusive, where and when appropriate, of approaches that break from LSFF business as usual, are scalable, realistic, and sustainable.
  • Identify and manage in-country consultants to support national-level policy enabling environment landscape analyses, where and as appropriate.
  • Support next steps in the design and implementation of policy level enabling environment activities based on findings from landscape analysis and in close consultation and collaboration with the other IRs, particularly IRs 2 and 3.
  • Support and contribute to other AFFORD components as necessary including but not restricted to the Knowledge Management approach and M&E and tracking policy-level indicators.
  • Coordinate closely with NI’s ongoing fortification programs in-country and LSFF efforts globally
  • Any other related duties as assigned

About you

  • Master’s degree or higher level with a focus on nutrition, foods and nutrition systems and /or health sciences or other related fields
  • At least 8 years of experience working in-country and / or regionally around the design and implementation of LSFF programs.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management. Experience working across and within sectors as a means of optimizing program performance.
  • Experience working with large multi-stakeholder teams and ability to participate in and coordinate across them
