Amref Health Africa in Kenya is the country programme office of Amref Health Africa, Africa’s largest International Health NGO. This is the largest and oldest country programme in Africa with an average annual budget of USD 40million. We have 19 innovative products and project models that have successfully been implemented and transformed 5.4 million lives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements Gathering (15%)

  • Engage users in understanding their needs for the CRM and Qlik.
  • Assist the Head of Business Systems in analysis and user design.
  • Work with the Head of Business Systems to consolidate the requirements and develop them into a software design.

Software Development (30%)

  • Develop CRM patches as per the approved design review.
  • Develop new software features as per the requirements document.

Software Testing (10%)

  • Write and implement test scripts of software developed in consultation with the software owners and the Head of Business Systems.
  • Do reworks on bugs and errors that may emanate from the software testing process.
  • Work with software vendors in testing and doing reworks for the CRM.
  • Conduct user acceptance tests with users.

User Support (15%)

  • Support users on issues that are raised on service desk.
  • Conduct periodic checks with users on their experience with the CRM.
  • Support users in usage of the CRM, both corporate and user-specific software.

Systems Maintenance (15%)

  • Ensure all software under the Business Systems unit are well updated and patched.
  • Do patches of software for preventive, adaptive or corrective purposes.

Dashboards and Reports Development (15%)

  • Develop dashboards and reports from Qlik as per user requirements.
  • Update dashboards on the consolidated corporate reporting platform.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other relevant fields, with focus on Software Development an added advantage
  • Knowledge of SQL Server management.
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Python and other relevant web design coding languages
  • Extensive knowledge of CSS and JS methods for highly responsive web applications
  • Knowledge in use of business intelligence platforms

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience supporting CRM activities and users
  • Experience in implementation of projects using agile methodology
  • Ability to interpret systems designs
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines
  • Proven experience in Domain-driven design architecture.
  • Experience with mission critical, 24×7 systems
  • Proven experience in software development using Microsoft C# MVC, fluent API
  • Experience working in an Agile Environment
  • In-depth experience with relational databases
