1. Service Assurance Manager

Job Purpose: 

Reporting to the Head of IT Service Delivery, The role holder will be expected to act as a subject matter expert for Software assurance focusing on post-production testing including pilot testing, Beta Testing, Disaster recovery (DR) testing, conduct business process testing and compliance test/validations. The role holder will ensure business/System services Deployed to the production environment are working as expected by carrying out periodic validations and monitoring. Ensures business users are trained, product manuals or Job cards provided. Lead Post-production testing including pilot testing, Disaster recovery (DR) testing, conduct business process testing and compliance test/validations. Liaise with quality analyst on quality metrics to assess performance of quality on test delivery.

The Service assurance Manager will lead day to day management of the service assurance strategy, developing or maintenance of service validation artifacts and activation of all test Service assurance processes.

Job Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

  • Develop service assurance Strategy in guidance of the organization’s objectives
  • PNPs- Ensure compliance with set processes and standards; Review and suggest/recommend areas of improvements geared towards efficiency.
  • Coordinating Business users during post deployment validations e.g. Post Implementation Reviews, pilot testing and during periodic service assurance activities.
  • Manage service assurance initiatives by communicating across multiple lines of business and IT teams by leading training efforts to ensure effectiveness of service assurance initiatives.
  • Participate in Deployment Change Advisory Committee (DCAB) process by assessing business impacts of systems deployments and identifying any gaps that could lead to service interruptions
  • Organize for business team training – Internal & external team trainings including, business Team members on new products. Development team knowledge transfer to production and business teams i.e. application monitoring, known defects and risks.
  • Coordination meeting with business team and provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support & guidance to team members.
  • Develop Service assurance strategy (approach to be used production service validation and monitoring e.g. – functional, non-functional, compliance testing, Disaster recover (DR) testing customer experience testing /user experience testing etc.)
  • Service assurance Reporting – Ensure comprehensive summary reports; defect reporting; defect triage meetings; evaluate acceptance, suspension & resumption criteria; review quality recommendations; Review UAT artifacts as the product is transitioned to production environment.
  • Give recommendations on tests carried out to improve customer experience, follow up on post-production issues, and Support transition from UAT to Production.
  • Ensures business users are trained, product manuals provide, field testing conducted, business process testing completed and monitors of product during pilot testing.
  • Advise stakeholders by communicating identified production system defect/issues to improve service delivery testing.
  • Provide periodic service assurance reports to stakeholders
  • Resource management – Manage resource planning, Test prioritization and effort allocation & control, review product artifiacts; execute service assurance strategy, participate in production Service monitoring & Evaluation
  • Manage service assurance Planning, Monitoring & Control -post-production validation scoping; risk identification / assessment and mitigation; prioritization based on risk, business process compliance; Ensure required device setup and availability.
  • Manage Service assurance strategy review, production service validation scoping, (approach to be used production service validation and monitoring e.g. – functional, non-functional, compliance testing, Disaster recover (DR) testing customer experience testing /user experience testing, etc.)
  • Service assurance Reporting – Ensure comprehensive summary reports; defect reporting; defect triage meetings; evaluate acceptance, suspension & resumption criteria; review quality recommendations; Review UAT artifacts as the product is transitioned to production environment.
  • Act as first-level escalation and resolution point for the team and Internal Customers for any Service assurance issues and operational matters. Proactively and reactively ensuring the agreed activities are delivered as planned.
  • Organize relevant team training on emerging trends and practices within the Service assurance fields. Develop and deliver relevant training and provide direct and structured mentoring of new team members that meets team and individual needs
  • Measure, develop and optimize quality of team outputs and performance Maintain and track defect/issue log and ensure it is always up-to-date and communicated to the required stakeholders.
  • Work with client services to ensure the quality of delivered software as well as ensuring timely bug resolution.
  • Proactively enforce the Service assurance Policies that will act as a roadmap in ensuring compliance to standards and controls designed to mitigate identified business risks
  • Log and analyze lessons learned to determine changes needed for future product releases and process improvement areas

Qualifications

Essential Knowledge

  • Excellent understanding and experience in software testing lifecycle, methodologies, and principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of testing principles and methodologies.
  • Expert knowledge; exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. Should Lead the validations of advanced technologies, principles, theories, and concepts. Guides and transfers knowledge to s/his team.

Requirements:

  • ISEB / ISTQB qualification in Software Testing to practitioner level or equivalent qualifications or experience (Preferred).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related IT field with a minimum of 5 years’ working experience in testing or service assurance field.
  • Banking Experience (Preferred).

2. Senior Officer – IT Asset Management

Description

Repoting to the Lead, IT Cost and Vendor management, the IT Asset Management Senior officer will be responsible for the management of IT Assets throughout their lifecycle to make sure that their use delivers value at optimal cost, they remain operational (fit for purpose), and they are accounted for and physically protected.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an up-to-date, accurate record of all I&T assets that are required to deliver services and that are owned or controlled by the organization with an expectation of future benefit (including resources with economic value, such as hardware or software).
  • Identify assets that are critical in providing service capability. Maximize their reliability and availability to support business needs.
  • Manage assets from procurement to disposal. Ensure that assets are utilized as effectively and efficiently as possible and are accounted for and physically protected until appropriately retired.
  • Regularly review the overall asset base to identify ways to optimize value in line with business needs.
  • Manage software licenses to maintain the optimal number of licenses and support business requirements. Ensure that the number of licenses owned is sufficient to cover the installed software in use.
  • Managing the risk, Audit and compliance items related to IT Asset management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, ICT or Related Field from a recognized university.
  • Certification in IT Asset Management or IT best practice standards and frameworks related to IT asset management
  • 5 years work experience at least 3  in IT Asset Management. Supervisory experience shall be an added advantage.

The Service assurance Analyst will assist the Service Assurance Manager in the day to day management of the service assurance strategy, developing or maintenance of service validation artifacts and activation of all test Ser vice assurance processes.

4. Food & Agriculture Business Analysts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or any other relevant business-related fields
  • At least 5 years of strong quantitative analysis experience, with a proof of expertise in analysis of F&A related businesses
  • Ability to conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests, including new requests, refinancing and or on annual due diligence,
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and general computer use,
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data,
  • Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts

5. Payments Platform Delivery Head

The Payments Platform Delivery Head’s role is to work closely with senior stakeholders and industry partners to plan and drive the implementation of the Group Payments program. The ideal candidate will be accountable for the payments programme deliverables across multiple work steams, maintaining pace, execution, and direction. They will drive in-depth understanding of the customer to deliver a ‘one customer’ view with respect to payment solutions including identifying customer pain points, gathering customer feedback/input on payment solutions etc.

Managing conflicting priorities and inter-dependencies and advising multiple project work streams on the course of action as appropriate is an integral deliverable for the incumbent. They must ensure collaboration between stakeholders (Data, Technology teams, Risk, Channels, Products etc.) to identify, define, specify, and deliver solutions that meet customer needs. Similarly, collaboration with strategic partners (private or corporate customers, financial intermediaries, telcos etc.) across Africa is an integral part of this role so as to enrich customer experience across the customer lifecycle for payments solutions.

You will also play an integral role in ensuring the success of the Group payments programme.

Qualifications

Formal Education & Certification

Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, engineering, finance, or related field required. MBA in addition is preferred.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of twelve (12) years in financial services, retail banking or related field.
  • Minimum of five (7) years of direct management experience.
  • Experience in rolling-out digital technologies and businesses with a strong customer orientation.
  • Expertise and experience in defining and building out program strategies and roadmaps.
  • Experience creating, developing, and launching large scale effective money movement strategies.
  • Proven ability to apply technology solutions to solving complex business problems and communicating solutions effectively.
  • Proven ability to address and persuade multiple constituencies including senior executives.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the end to end payments process from origination to fulfilment and the underlying system components.
